No problem! The Angle and Channel attachment allows the Dragon A400 CNC Pipe Cutter to cut angle and channel, as well as round pipe and square/rectangular tube… in a variety of materials including steel, stainless-steel and aluminium.

How does the Angle and Channel CNC Cutting Attachment work?

On the standard A400 CNC pipe cutter, the rear chuck drives/rotates the material and the head/gate simply holds the material in position. This works perfectly for pipe and tube.

However, in the case of angle and channel section, these materials tend to twist which means that the gate has to be motorised (gear driven) and synchronised with the rear chuck.

The angle and channel attachment allows the standard A400 machine to be upgraded to a motorised gate, to allow it to cut angle and channel reliably and accurately.

Can you cut angle iron with a CNC plasma cutter?

Unlike most CNC pipe/tube cutters, CNC angle cutters drive/rotate the stock material at two synchronised points; the front gate/head close to the cutting torch and at the rear chuck. This prevents the angle from twisting and allows accurate cutting.
